If your site already uses the Google Tag Manager data layer, UniSignIn can read values from it. Use them to describe your content for audience insights, and to target experiences on values your site already knows, such as the page type or the article's category.
There is nothing to switch on in Connect. The UniSignIn tag reads the dataLayer on every page where it runs.
Push your values to the data layer as part of the page, ideally before the UniSignIn tag loads:
window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || []
window.dataLayer.push({
category: 'Football',
keywords: ['Transfers', 'Premier League'],
author: 'Sports desk',
})
Add any other keys you want to target on, e.g. page_type or content_tier.
